Doctor Who 4x02: The Fires of Pompeii

I always like the history episodes. 2x02 had Rose and Ten getting knighted, the whole Scottish accent thing, and the appearance of the famous "tiemtongue". 3x02 had Shakespeare being a h0r basically, lots of nerdy literature references that I loved, and Ten in one of those ruffly neck thingies at the end. While sadly he didn't toga up in this episode--Donna sort of did--I still loved it anyway and here's a little numbered list of reasons why.

1. Ten was looking delicious in this episode, especially when he got all sweaty. And when he shouted. And when he ran and jumped through windows. And even when he was sad about Gallifrey.
2. I liked Donna's period costume! Also she'll be properly-dressed next episode, so will we get to see lots more cool Donna fashion? I mean, how many bags did she pack?
3. HE SAID BARCELONA HDIBGHSIDGHEIOAEIOHWF;;;
4. I saw it coming (hurhur) but still liked how the house gods changed at the end.
5. I love the history episodes.
6. The woman who talks about the Ood in the next episode, the Indian woman, looks like my journalism professor Dr. Ghosh. Seriously.
7. By the Emma Theory of Doctor Who episodes, next episode should be my favorite of S4, but I doubt that'll happen because I think The Doctor's Daughter and the one when Rose returns (Midnight?) might be contenders for my favorite.
8. MOTHERFUCKIN' SQUIRT GUN. That is all.

Torchwood 2x13: Exit Wounds

Also known as WAY TO BREAK MY FUCKING HEART, RUSSELL T. DAVIES.

I only have a few words to say about this one: Toshiko Sato, you did good. You did very, very good. Rest in peace, our favorite nerdy, socially awkward, completely brilliant Torchwood staffer.

As for Owen? Nobody will confirm that he's really dead, but honestly if he got dosed with a crapload of radiation, he might wish he were dead. That stuff is harsh.

However, I think RTD made up for the heartbreak this episode was by offering us Partners in Crime the very next day!

Also known as Ten is fucking back, baby. What I did for this was watch the episode while simultaneously making observations about it in a notepad file. Warning: When I watch Doctor Who I tend to get very fangirly and start shouting a lot.

Oooh, new theme. I have to say I kinda like S2 and S3's better, but this one will grow on me.

Interesting plotline. A lot of people are really concerned about weight loss. I keep seeing ads for diet pills all the goddamn time.

I'm going to use this neat little blog to talk about TV shows I've watched. Some of the posts in here may just be mirrored from my LiveJournal because I am lazy. Also, all of these posts WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS. I watch Torchwood and Doctor Who along with the UK, not the US, so I see new things a little early and am not afraid to comment on them. Tread lightly!
