So, OLC is dead again. Slightly depressing. So I'm just going to ramble here. Because it's what I do. Rambling is good.

My best friend slept over last night, which was really great because I haven't seen her that much since school ended. It was sort of funny though, we ended up staying up until somewhere around six this morning simply because we weren't tired until then. And then we had to wake up at eight to go to a swim meet that for some reason got rescheduled after we got rained out of one for nine in the morning. Two hour nights of sleep are the best. Yet somehow I'm not really tired now. I'm actually sort of hyper. It's amusing. I've determined that the two of us are the biggest dorks on the face of the earth. We were both working at different pools at the same time last night (we both lifeguard), and she called me because there was nobody in her pool. I talked to her for somewhere around two hours, because there was nobody in my pool either, and it was really amusing because we both had to test the chlorine at the same time and close at the same time... we were actually comparing chlorine readings. So funny.

Basically though, I attempted to get her to join OLC approximately every half hour last night. Once this morning, I actually got her to the registration page while she wasn't paying attention, sitting at my computer facing away from the screen. When she turned back around, I said something to the effect of "get my hint?" and she CLOSED THE WINDOW. That girl... I swear she will never learn. I even gave her a free membership for her birthday, and told her it was a limited time offer so she should take advantage... and she still hasn't. She says she's going to wait until I'm not expecting it (reminiscent of what I kept telling Lola for awhile about smiley-attacking her in a review... there's a reason we're friends) and then completely creep hoping I don't realize it's her. So a warning to all on OLC: if a random new member shows up that seems completely off the wall, and possibly starts talking about things I did when I was two, especially if her screen name is referencing Julie Andrews in any way, remember two things. First, that's just my best friend being... herself. And second, she didn't know me when I was two, so any and all stories are null and void.

I'm working again today, my third day in a row working the same exact shift. I wasn't suppossed to work, but one of the other guards called me and asked me to work for her, so I am, because getting money is a good thing, and because she's working for me when I'm on vacation. Really it's only my second day in a row with the same shift, Thursday was a bit of a joke. There was this massive thunderstorm, and according to the weather channel it wasn't stopping until after midnight. So I left at five, because my friends were going out for pizza (this amazing buffet- all you can eat pizza for $5. Good deal.) and I hadn't seen them since school let out and I really wanted to go, but I was working. It was sort of funny though, because all evidence of any and all storms were gone by six. But at that point I wasn't going back to work, because nobody there swims after seven ever anyway, so I had pizza instead. Good deal.

But now I have to work again in approximately an hour, and there's only a 10% chance of rain, so I'm actually going to have to work. It's not that warm outside though, so nobody's going to swim. I work at an apartment complex populated mostly by senior citizens. Most of them don't swim unless the water's at least 85 (sorry Lola, no idea what the conversion for that is...) and it's ridiculously hot outside. Plus there's some sort of Greek festival going on across the street, so a lot of the people that would normally go to the pool are going there instead. Good deal for me. I love it when nobody's there. I get to read, and write notes, and swim, and basically do whatever I want that doesn't involve leaving.

I think I'm done for now. I can't think of anything else to randomly go off about at the moment. Which is usually a good indicator that I'm done. So with that, I end this post.
