What's on my DVR??? (Or how I learned to have no life)
Go ahead....laugh. I have no life, but I figure, as long as I am such a loser, I ought to at least let peeps know what I am wasting my time on and why...so here it is.....
Sunday:
I usually use Sunday to catch up on any stuff that is left on my DVR, although, I probably have about 50 gig in movies on my DVR right now that I haven't watched....here's what's on there right now in no order of importance (please let me know what I should jettison without watching)
Munich
French Connection (seen it, but want to see it again)
Serpico (seen it, but want to take another look at it)
SLC Punk (Saw it 5 years ago, but want to give it another look)
Wonderland
Silverhawk
Syriana
The Island
Some Brooklyn Dodgers Documentary
Gimme Shelter
New York Doll (Dug this and kept it on my DVR...want to find the DVD somewhere)
Hail Hail Rock and Roll (Can't get enough of the Chuck Berry/Keith Richards meltdowns)
Other than that, I have been using Sunday to watch the prior week's Big Love, if I don't get to it before then.
Monday:
I normally watch something off the DVR at 8 and watch Hell's kitchen at 9. I like Hell's Kitchen a ton, although this season has been weaker than the last 2. I usually DVR Big Love, because I can't give it 100% attention on Mondays for one reason or another...that show kicks all kinds of butt.
Tuesday:
I am digging Americas got Talent a ton...the show is great, goofy judges and Springer was the perfect addition to this show. I started off watching the Singing Bee, but I am already annoyed with that show and the Wayne Brady abortion on fox.
Wednesday:
Call me a girl if you want, but I am digging the hell out of So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD); the show is fun and AI ought to take some entertainment lessons from it. I'm also loving the dickens out of American Inventor and Last Comic standing, but here's the thing, they are both on at the same time and SYTYCD overlaps both of them for 1/2 hour, so I have to DVR both Inventor and LCS go watch SYTYCD for a half hour in another room and then come back and watch the other 2 shows....I know, I'm a loser. I also love Top Chef, which is on at 10...
Thursday:
My normal Fare is Earl, 30 Rock and the Office...but they are all in reruns, so I go with the SYTYCD results show and watch the episode of Big Love that's on my DVR. Thursdays is kind of a wasteland.
Friday/Saturday: I got's to spend time with my kids and watch Soccer/College Football...give me a break!!!!
Well that's about it, if anyone has any recommendations for me, drop me a line...

Have you heard anything about the American Version of the show? Will it start after HK is over with? I really enjoy the British version, so I will give it a shot.

Is the only night they can run it, because of the juggernaut that is AI. Unless they want to kill it and put it on Fridays or the Weekend....

I figure they will run it monday unless it starts to flop but Prison break also runs on Mondays so I am not really sure

I did some research and it will be airing Thursdays at 9 after are you smarter than a 5th grader. I hope it doesn't get cancelled but if it does we still have the BBC

It drives me crazy to see that some americans are not smarter than 5th graders so I can't watch it. I will stick to Jeopardy where the contestants are smart.

Do the contestants have to take a general knowledge test that they have to fail to get through to the show?
I do like the World Series of Pop Culture, I have a couple of buds at work that want to partner with me and win some jack with that thing. That is my destiny.

I know the contestants on AYST5G must be tested in some way. I going to try to find out what some of the questions are.

No I can't bring myself to watch the singing game shows I am not one for reality shows that feature performers. I will watch them at times but it is not a life or death thing. I just don't see why we need more crappy pop stars

The Singing Bee and the Wayne Brady crap hour are both havens for failed bar singers. The shows are both like nails on chalkboard to me, but my wife loves that junk for some reason, so I sit there and watch. I know, I'm a sucker.

Seriously though, my Wife loves the dickens out of Sex in the City and that IS my kryptonite. I lose all my bowel control when that show comes on. I wish that it never existed. I won't watch that, I whip out my PSP and Play FIFA 07 or whatever I'm in the mood for...it really irritates her too. The things we do for love...

SLC Punk has bee on my DVR forever too. I love that movie and I just can't bring myself to delete it If you are bored on Thursdays and like Hell's kithen watch Kitchen knightmares on the BBC I love it.
