Paris Hilton has been fitted for ankle bracelet and reassigned to house arrest, after authorities decided to release Hilton from jail due to medical reasons, this according to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Dept. spokesperson, Steve Whitmore.
Reporters hammered away about Paris' medical condition during a press conference in front of the jail, where she was released early this morning, but Whitmore said he could not discuss even the slightest health-related details due to confidentiality laws.
Paris will be under house confinement in her West Hollywood home for 40 days, where she has a 3000-4000 ft. radius of freedom. Her jail cell was 96 square feet. After the 40 days are up, Whitmore says she will have "fulfilled her debt to society."
Whitmore wants to make it clear that Paris was not released early, she was reassigned. She is technically still in custody. "TMZ"

that she was threatening suicide. Which actually wouldn't be a bad idea. Honestly, this whole jail thing really didn't help with actually ridding the world of Paris.

So I just read that the L.A. City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo sent out a statement that said they didn't not know about her release until it broke in the media. He also stated that they didn't agree with the Sheriff Department's decision, and that they have also asked the Judge to return her to jail. Whooohooo!!! Go to tmz.com or dlisted.com for more info.
P.S. Rocky Delgadillo for President!!

This just in they let her phone it to court. Next time I get a speeding ticket I am going to ask for the same treatment and see if I can get it.

HAHA

The judge said it was unacceptable for her to call in to court so they are sending a car for her I guess I can't phone-in in the future

I can't believe this!
Seriously, that is ridiculous! Her mom has been going off about how Paris received a stiffer sentence because she's famous, and how she should be treated like everyone else. I bet she isn't complaining about being treated differently now!
And how is "house arrest" a punishment when you live in a huge Hollywood home?! This whole thing makes me sick.
