Are any other girly girls as obsessed with this woman and her writings as I am? I cannot put down one of her books until I've read cover to cover. There are several other others that rank up there with her, and all I want to know is where are all the American women writers??? Are they so "Americanized" that all they can write about is depression, how to save money, how to keep your husband interested in bed, and what the best fabrics to use to make pillows are? I KNOW we have some fun girls in this country, but why aren't they writing? Don't get me wrong....I love, love, love my English writing gals, but it would be nice to read about spending dollars on shoes than quid on a fabulous new flat. I'll continue my search, I suppose.....only until the new Shopahollic comes out, of course.

She's my favorite. I got my sisters and my mother obsessed as well. I just picked up a copy of "Shopaholic and Baby" and was ecstatic...I hadn't realized it was out already!

She is one of my favs too. We should start a list of books that we have read that are about topics we like and share just in case you guys have found other authors with good book topics.

Hey Guys!
I don't know if you noticed, but there is a book lounge in Famesters - there's actually a contest up there right now! You should check it out.
I write a book column for A Socialite's Life (www.socialitelife.com), and I'm always open to suggestions for new books or authors to review, and I'm always interested to know what our reader's love.
Anyone is free to drop me a line and let me know what you love/hate/want to learn about - anything! I aim to please, but I can't do it without the help of my readers!!

My good friend and I just love, love, love her shopaholic series. We take it in turns to buy the new book (me online cause I cant be seen in a serious bookshop buying chick lit. Lol).
Anyhow, she has bought the new one, shopaholic with baby and she is saving it for when she goes into hospital to give birth. B1tch. I have to wait another month to read it!!

Love Her!
My favorite of the books was The Undomestic Goddess. The scenario is a bit implausible, but I just thought that the Samantha Sweeting was really great.
