It's not enough to be a rap star, fashion mogul, and father. Sean Combs is branching out into the profitable world of smell and accessories.
Combs will be launching a ladies perfume this September. The watches he has designed is nearing the license stage. Diddy is just one of many celebs turning designer. Join the discussion of celebrity designers and find out more on the recent surge of labels to be launched (using star power) in Famesters.
Do stars really have the talent to create fashionable threads? Or are they just abusing their celeb status to add another possible profit?

Horrah! I am glad you agree isisbluemoon. I always feel like I am wearing the scent of a stripper. They are always so fruity or vanilla smelling. I feel like I am wearing the scent of "Parfume de Grocery Store Produce Isle."
It feels the the term "designer" is a thing that is now meaningless. Everyone on the A-list (and those wishing to be on the A-list) crank out some cheap yet overpriced line. It's like "Oh have had a stylist so that entitles me to become a fashionista with a line all my own." Big hairy deal! I watched the first season on "Grey's Anatomy" last week. That doesn't mean I get a scalpel and I am now a heart surgeon. Geesh. I will get off my soapbox.

I so agree with you guess my step mom bought me britney's perfume for christmas one year and I had to return it because it just being near me made be want to puke

so/so
I don't know how I honestly feel about celeb designers...like when i see britney, j.lo or paris has a perfume coming out i think to myself, " I would never wear that". They usually smell sickly sweet and I couldn't possibly tell people I'm wearing Paris hilton. Sorry, but it's just how i feel. I'm not sure why, but I almost feel cheesy wearing celeb designers clothing or perfume...any guesse as to why? :-)
