Tweens Taking Over

Tween fashion is like a nasty cold that passes from one child to another like the plague. Are the adults going to be looking to the teens for fashion movements? And are kids deserving of Gucci at age 12?

I don't think we should look to the teens but I think we have started to in some ways. Adults these days don's always dress there age and kids these days dress in clothes that make them look alot older. I saw this young girl the other day wearing some sort of brittney spears fashion. She couldn't have been more than like 9 with the cowboy boots over tights, a too short skirt and a tube top. My boyfriend had to hold me back because I wanted to go cover her up and slap her mother in the head and by the way you don;t want to know what the mother was wearing.

You are right. I constantly see the same thing. Spoiled kids are the worst! There is nothing wrong with pampering your kids...but dropping $500 on a pair of Michael Kors boots for my hypothetical 11 year old daughter seems drastic. I take what teens and kids are wearing today as a tool. Like, for example, Uggs. When my 5 year old neice started wearing them, I knew it was time to retire mine. But teens also have a "follower" instinct. If I see them wearing a trend I know that it is worth looking at. (Probably to be discarded, but worth looking into.)
