go to your local vintage (i.e thrift) shop to find some of the best things to thrown into your closet for all these crazy trends that are coming back!i work in an IT office that does not require a proper dress code...so i get to wear whatever i want. i can find some very nice older cardigans circa the 1950's to wear with skirts and my peep toe wedges...or find some really neat wool wide leg pants. and everything is broken in. occasionally i will hit up a shop called Casablanca Vintage here in the city and they have vintage designer clothing...but don't think it's easy. There re miles and miles of clothing to pick through, which I think is half the fun!

Thank God I am not the only one out there that makes a trip to the local Good Will in search of comfy vintage. Mind you, I disenfect everything before wearing it! But you can find so many treasures at affordable prices. It's like the episode of The Simpsons where Marge finds a Chanel gown in a bargain bin and rocks some fancy party.HA!

i sware it's so awesome cause you can rock some sweet, one-of-a-kind piece with your basic style...and everyone wants to know,"where'd you get that?". some of the best compliments I've received are for things i've picked up at goodwill, etc.

And on the plus side, they usually have very neat vintage boho-chic house accessories...candle holders, throws to cover up an ugly chair, etc. Love it!

You typically have to search through the racks and go about once a week, but you can generally find something unique and cute. There a mid-west based retail shop (Chicago, Minneapolis and such).
