I knew that "Grindhouse" would have its own particular little market, but the film underperformed below what anyone expected. What went wrong?

I hear a rumor that they might split it and release it again in the US as well as overseas I just wonder how will get the Rob Zombie short and the faux trailers in the middle.

But do you really think that will help? I mean if people could sit through Titanic for three hours then why not Grindhouse?
Do you think it was too bloody for people? With horror films doing so well in their first week out, I was really surprised by how poorly the film did.

people aren't too familiar with 70s exploitation films or understeand that it's a "1 price for 2 movies" gimmick.
