Yeah, it's a shame that this movie managed to do the impossible - make Steve Carell unfunny. I hope he's not blamed for EA's failure because it was the bad writing and embarrassingly cheap-looking CGI that really made this movie so awful. Although, I'm not giving Morgan Freeman a pass for reading his lines like he was only doing this movie for the paycheck. WTF, Morgan?
I'm also personally offended by the badness of this movie because it was partly filmed in my hometown and other VA locations. I'd rather claim "GI Jane" as a homestate production than this travesty. Hee.

Me and my friends were going to see it this weekend but i think I will pass now I like Steve Carell and don't don't want to not like him because of a stupid movie

My son went and saw the movie yesterday. I asked him how it was and he said, "It was good except for the part where Lauren Graham (and yes people he knows Lauren Graham, because any 11yo with a GG addicted Mom will know this) said that you need to get off the boat cause it's not going to rain". I said really? He says yeah, it was funny besides that part. So since this movie is rated PG and all it has reached its target market.

Which was disappointing. I really love Steve as a comedic talent. Although, I really can't get into "The Office" either. Go figure.
