Is anyone else watching this? It's SO tacky, and yet I love it like I love ice cream and beer (not together). I'm sad there are only two weeks left!
Anyway, about tonight's episode...*whew*. My girl Chelsea made it through another round. With only two weeks left, at this point it won't be horrible if she doesn't make it to the final three, since I'll only have to go one episode without her.
However, I HOPE she makes it, because I am very OVER Melissa S. and her bitchy, snide comments. I thought for a while she was getting a winner's edit, since they really have toned down her bitchiness over the last several episodes, but that obviously wasn't the case tonight. She thinks she's so funny and cute trashing Chelsea, but she's about as dumb as a post...karma has bitten her in the ass twice now. I would love to see her go next week...IMO, there's no harm in putting Chelsea through to the final round. They still have two other girls that can be chosen if they don't think she can pull it together to be a PCD. She's at least been consistent, and she always, ALWAYS brings her all, while Melissa S. is all over the map from week to week.
Anyway, I was sad to see Anastacia go, but she's been really struggling with her confidence lately, so I think it was the right choice. I don't get the confidence thing, though...she is SO beautiful. I'm sad she's gone, even though I understand why they eliminated her.
Too bad they couldn't have put Asia in the bottom with Anastacia and Melissa S., though...she's SO not a good singer, and she doesn't seem to really take criticism to heart, she just blows it off. She's a great dancer/performer, but when the president of Geffen Records is talking about your vocals, maybe you should STFU and listen to what he has to say. I daresay he knows more about singing than she does. I think she could have done with being taken down a peg, but now it won't happen.
Sooooo, I think in the end it will be Melissa R. that's chosen as the next PCD. She's a little bland, but she's inoffensive and can both sing AND dance, so I think she's the one they'll go with. Also, she rocked it in tonight's episode, so at least she's bringing it when she needs to.

I love Chelsea but I don't want her to win.

I was thinking about the show this morning (wow, that's an embarrassing thing to admit) and I realized that I really don't want Chelsea to win. Why? Honestly, she's too good for the PCD. The PCD are a guilty pleasure of mine but I can't really say that they're a good music group, nor do I think they have any longevity in the industry. Chelsea is an amazing singer with tons of charisma. I think it might be best for her to go out in 2nd or 3rd, and hopefully Ron Fair or some other record producer will give her a solo artist contract. Truthfully, she should've auditioned for AI, not this show.
Of the remaining girls, I'd prefer to see Melissa R. win the whole thing. She's the best singer after Chelsea, she's a great dancer, she's cute as a button, and I think all she really needs at this point is more experience. I don't want to see Melissa S. or Asia win because the former is a catty bitch who has the tendency to choke and the latter can't sing and is dumb as a box of hair.
I can't believe how invested I am in this silly show. The CW better bring it back next season.
Can't stand Asia

I really don't understand why they keep Asia around. She's a horrible singer. And I TOTALLY agree - her mic tapping drives me NUTS! Chelsea is adorable and I feel her dancing can be improved through intense training. I mix up the Melissas, so I can't really comment on them. In my opinion, none of the girls seem to fit in the group. I wonder if they will have a "season 2," where they show the winner integrating with the group, touring, working on a new album, etc.

HA HA HA HA. Karma is a BITCH. I am SO glad that Melissa S. is gone...I wanted to slap her smug face the entire episode. She's so entitled, and it drives me nuts.
I love Chelsea, but I certainly don't think she'll win. I'm still guessing Melissa R., with a possible win by Asia. She did really well on the challenges tonight, and she's a great dancer. I also thought she sounded better tonight than any other performance, so...who knows.
The nice thing is, I don't care any more, because the one person I actively didn't want to win is OUT. HA HA HA HA.
I'm going to papercut you ferociously.
Sorry, Chelsea :(

Well, I was rooting for Chelsea but I'm not surprised Asia won. One, I was spoiled for it weeks ago but also because I think of the final three she was the strongest in all three elements - singing, dancing, and performing.
I think Chelsea will go on to better things, and I'm looking forward to the second season.
PCD Season 2

Season two will be about forming an entirely new group. Read the casting call information here. Interesting. I hope Chelsea will be involved in some way, since she was easily the most popular one in the first season.

I admit, this show can be addictive...but do we need another PCD esque group? ANd what is the deal with Asia not actually "performing" with the group? Me thinks I need a new guilty pleasure!
I agree with you about Chelsea, she was sort of the neutral party in the finale. I hope that she gets some good projects in the future.

Ha, I'll admit that two PCD groups is probably overkill, but I finally gave up the ghost this week and admitted that I love the PCD with a burning passion (like I love other terrible, cheesy things that are probably bad for me, like Cheetos). So I'll be watching with bells on. ;)
I hadn't heard that Asia isn't actually performing with the group...do you know any more about that?
I'm going to papercut you ferociously.

Does anyone else recognize Melissa S from P. Diddy's Making the Band 3? Yes I gravitate towards horible reality TV.
Asia sucks, how do you decide to do something like tour with the PCD when you have a baby at home? I find that selfish. The other Melissa should have won, despite her age.
The tour bit makes sense, but I have also heard she wasn't a good fit for the group (which I could see, considering she didn't give a crap about anyone else throughout the show).
On Melissa S' behalf. I would certainly get catty in a situation like this as well. Working my butt off to reach my dream? Heck yea! those girls were her competition!
Once a group starts trying

Once a group starts trying to replace old members they are pretty much done in my opinion at least i don't think they should keep trying to live the dream when their time to shine is done. In the past groups would break up for all reasons and occasionally get together to tour or play a show but thats it they never tried to replace members as much as the pussy cat dolls have. I'm heading to the UK in a few weeks since i just got some reading festival tickets if they performed there with some person who won a spot in the group id be looking and saying oh there's that person who won to be in the group and never look at them as actually part of it.

I'm over her too
I am so over Melissa S too. She's one of those people that looks diectly in your face, smiles and insults you. She knows what she's doing.
Asia's fingers tapping the mic is so distracting and she sings the way she *thinks* you should sing. That bothers me.
I love this show, it's so bad. But I don't really care who wins.
