The Bachelor....HELLO!!!Submitted by heatherleefoster on Mon, 2007-04-09 23:51. Last Login: Tue Apr 10 2007 0:02 GMT |
Whatever happened to The Bachelor/Bachelorette craze? Did it start to disinegrate after Trista and Ryan? I still love it. Love it to pieces! Are many people tuning in this season? Tonight was the second episode and I'm still weary of "The Officer and The Gentleman". When he drinks, like most of us, his inhibitions seem to go out the window. The sleaziest girls become his favorites while the good-hearted classy girls get pushed to the side. Was anyone else annoyed that he kept one of the two Barbie twins? Although they succeeded in sticking out and getting his attention, I'm not sure it was for the right reasons. Ok, I know it wasn't. If you're going to try and take a stand like that, at least do it on your own. What Iron Man wants a ditz that can't even be a ditz without another one attached at the hip (or conjoined at the hand, in this case)? Annoying. And the Stephanie chick....even if she didn't open her trashy mouth or wear her trashy clothes, she still screams TRASH. I don't like her. I don't like the fact that she got the first impression rose, the first one and one date, and survived that by getting the first rose of the elimination round. Does she really need any more of a reason to be that conceited? Really, now. It's all about the ratings, I know, but I'd rather be addicted to the show because there are so many sweet and deserving women than watch the good vs. evil competitions. Don't we have enough of that on every other TV show these days? Ok, well I'm done ranting and raving for this week. Only for this show, of course. ; )

I normally don't get into the Bachelor/Bachelorette shows, but I sort of got sucked in by Andy. For someone so good looking and that accomplished, he's kind of a dork. And really not at ALL the type of guy I'd go for in real life, but still, he's cute enough and not a total tool.
Anyway, I ended up sticking around because I lived in Charleston, SC for a long time, and I had to see how all of the Charleston girls turned out. They're...about what I expected, which means I want to *facepalm* about 85% of the time they're on. Nicole is obviously a lush, or at least she's always half-tanked when she's interviewed. That amuses me, though, so I'm giving her a thumbs up (with reservations) for being all boozy.
Stephanie is very smug, but I really do wish the other girls would drop the whole OMG SHE'S A DIRTY HOR!!!!11!1 routine, because it's getting old. Wearing something that shows a lot of cleavage doesn't make her a whore, and neither does getting a rose. She hasn't really done anything to deserve the vitriol aimed at her except establish herself as a front-runner early on, and until she does something really heinous (which I'm sure she will, don't get me wrong), the other girls just seem like catty, jealous bitches when they talk about her behind her back.
The only other girls that really stand out for me in a positive way are Tessa, Tina, Amber (? - the one that won the second bit of alone time), and...the one who's college boyfriend died. Sorry, I can't remember her name.
Bevin is acting WAY desperate, the Barbie twin that got picked seems dumber than a box of hair, and Tiffany (one of the ones who was cut) acted surprised she didn't get a rose but gave off body language during her alone time she won that did NOT indicate that she liked Andy. So weird, then, to be upset that she didn't make the next round.
Anyway, the show is crackalicious. I'm loving it so far. :D
I'm going to papercut you ferociously.

I was sure the barbie twins
I was sure the barbie twins were heading home. I thought maybe the producers asked him to keep one around for a bit of entertainment... ;-)
