Is Paris’ 45 day jail sentence fair?

I think that Paris thought she was excused from the whole drinking and driving thing to some extent, because her ego is just that BIG.The most damning aspect to this whole thing for her is that she blamed it all on Eliott Mintz (the long suffering publicist) rather than admit to not keeping up on her own legal affairs.

When I worked as an intern at the DA in NC (crazy, I know...) I saw cases like this all the time. This is kind of a harsh punishment. Believe it or not she is a first time offender, and a jail time like this is enforced only if they drive on a suspended license AND get another DUI or they have violated probation multiple times/have previous convictions. I had a friend in the exact same situation, her probation was extended and fine increased. I've also seen cases where the jail term was shorter or there was electronic monitoring

This is a situation where Paris's rep and "its not my fault" attitude worked against her.

How dare she try to claim

How dare she try to claim it's because her publicist told her so. I mean, there's making a career out of being a moron, but I can't have any sympathy for her in this matter.

She honestly did not know that she wasn't supposed to drive? I believe that - no. That's funny, Paris, really. And blame your publicist? She's a two year-old brat.

i can't believe she'll serve the whole thing

Do we think she'll actually serve the whole 45 days? I hope so, but I sincerely doubt it. I can see something like three weeks, with the rest served under house arrest (Does house arrest even mean anything if you are a celebrity? Or is it like when Britney checked herself into rehab and she took a lot of field trips to go shopping?) or just lopped off for "good behavior"? Also, will there be a reality show made from the whole kerfuffle like when Lil' Kim went to jail for perjury?
