I may be talking to myself in this thread, but what the hell... :)

The description of "Progeny," tonight's episode, from the CW website:

After Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) discovers Chloe's (Allison Mack) mother Moira (Lynda Carter) has the power to control meteor freaks, he develops a drug to wake her from her catatonic state in the asylum, then threatens to kill Chloe unless she uses her power to help him.

Clark (Tom Welling) helps Chloe break into the asylum to rescue Moira and finally get to know her mother.

I love me some Chloe, so this should be a good episode, plus...Lynda Carter! \o/

Oh, Smallville, I love your angsty drama and contrived love triangles so very, very much.  To kick this thread off, this is my take on all possible iterations of relationships in Smallville (well, not ALL iterations, because I'll cry the first time somebody links me to, like, Clark/Martha fic. *dies*):

Clark/Lana:  OMG SO OVER IT.  Why they feel the need to keep needling us with a relationship that we *know* isn't canon is beyond me.  Bleh.

Clark/Chloe:  On the other hand, I would gladly bribe God or whomever if THIS relationship could overtake canon.  Chloe is so fabulous it hurts.

Clark/Lois:  I like Lois, but she's no Chloe.

Clark/Lex:  I just...can't do it.  I mean, the subtext is so thick you could cut it with a knife, and yet...I feel like I need brain bleach when I think of the Clex.  And I love the HELL out of Sam/Dean on Supernatural, so...WTF?  I'm so weird.

Lex/Lana:
I find Lana infinitely more interesting when she's being shady with Lex than I do when she's whining to Clark about how he's hiding something from her.  Lex is also very interesting with Lana, because I believe he loves her, but then he does things that are so shady, like impregnate her with freaky alien sperm.  Or something.
