I was thinking about going to UCLA but I am not sure. I want to specialize in film and I really don't want to go to a four year. I heard about this school called Video Symphony near LA. It is in Burbank near the WB studios so I was kind of thinking that would be a perfect setup for an internship.http://www.videosymphony.com/index.php Any one have any experiences to share or advice to give?

I know... I know some people would think 'what is he talking about ?' ...LOL !
But my perception seems to tell me ( after having watched most of the 'KEY' designers and MEGA players in 'ACTION' ) .
THAT ..some designers seem to be living their own fantasies as in 'away from total reality' Some have not move on and seem to be stuck with their past.
Some seem to be lost in their maze of ' ice cream-sugar cones
Some seem to perpetually think that women are still leaving in the stuffy 40's/50's .as in ' Grace Kelly goes to picnic '.
Some are just focused on what 'their clients really really want' no harm in that.
And some are just there to perpetuate their own image. their glorified image, giving us their so called 'intellectually' ugly...unflattering unrealistic, obsolete silhouettes, uninspiring colors and fabrics that could never ever be 'translated' by the industry. Designs in which no woman in her right, sober and sounded mind would ever want to be caught dead as in DEAD!
But then we have the really exciting, new, less new , known and less well known innovators and creators of FASHION who unfortunately cannot beat the big ELEPHANTS guarding the ports of 'FASHION CITY' and let them take their well deserved place at the top of the 'tower' of FASHION.

What do you say to a friend who you were super close to, but parted ways with due to a bad fight? Long story short I had this best friend who was like a brother to me. We had a bad fight thanks to a stupid Putt-Putt loving slut that was taking over his life. We haven't talked for 3 years and I heard he is getting a divorce. I want my friend back, but what do I say? Help!!!!!

Finish the sentence y'all. Mine is,"I hate it when old people at Kroger seem to hunt me down and stand in the middle of the aisle holding a can of soup and then ask me to read them the ingredients." I respect my elders, old people are great...from a distance.

Who is the one celebrity that you hate to admit that you kind of-maybe-sorta have a crush on? To show you all that I'm not afraid of the wrath of famesters...I'm gonna go ahead and admit that I have a secret crush on Kevin Federline. Don't ask me why, I have no good reason.
So now that I spilled...how 'bout you?

Just like on the episode of Friends you pick your top 5 Celebrity lovers/boyfriends/soulmates what have you. These are the ones that if you met them would not count as cheating. (of course you would have to be on a break). Anyhow that's the rules so have fun.

Are any other girly girls as obsessed with this woman and her writings as I am? I cannot put down one of her books until I've read cover to cover. There are several other others that rank up there with her, and all I want to know is where are all the American women writers??? Are they so "Americanized" that all they can write about is depression, how to save money, how to keep your husband interested in bed, and what the best fabrics to use to make pillows are? I KNOW we have some fun girls in this country, but why aren't they writing? Don't get me wrong....I love, love, love my English writing gals, but it would be nice to read about spending dollars on shoes than quid on a fabulous new flat. I'll continue my search, I suppose.....only until the new Shopahollic comes out, of course.
